PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Corteva Agriscience Beam is a chemical fungicide formulated with Tricyclazole 75% WP for rice crop disease management. It is specifically described for controlling blast disease, including leaf blast, stem blast and panicle blast occurring at different stages of rice growth.
Tricyclazole belongs to the melanin biosynthesis inhibitor group. According to the supplied information, it acts by interfering with melanin formation in the rice blast fungus, which affects the fungus's ability to penetrate plant tissue and establish infection. Beam is also described as highly systemic, with uptake through rice leaves and roots and movement through the plant via xylem.
The product has prophylactic activity and is described as having movement from treated leaves towards younger, untreated leaves. The supplied information also highlights field sanitation and appropriate nitrogen fertilizer management as part of integrated disease management for reducing blast incidence.
